A short description

What is this?

The ImaGeo system is a complex geological hardware and software system for field use. It consists of a Corescanner, a Photorobot and a laser induced plasma spectroscope (LIPS) incorporated to the corescanner.

The corescanner is for high resolution digital scanning
of the whole core surface. The photorobot is designed for making georeferated photo series of outcrops, shaft or tunnel sides and fronts. The LIPS is developed for element determination on cores, the target points are chosen on the scanned images.

There are some software modules in the system too.
The CoreDump is for vector evaluation of the scanned
and photographed images. It orients the geological,
tectonic planes, patches (objects) based on the borehole televiewer images and displays the results on various types of diagrams. The CoreTime module is designed for evaluation of the time relationships between objets on the scanned or photographed images. The PetCore software is an image processing software for geological purpose.
