Pet Core image processing software

PetCore is a software used for image processing. The software can be taught by the user: it classifies the pixels of the image according to their colours, which belong to different geological features. The areal distribution of the of the colour classes can be queried and plotted in diagrams. With this method, the porosity that falls into the resolution range of the images cab be determined. The mineral composition of the rock can also be determined on the basis of their colour and plotted in diagrams. The shape distribution of the minerals can be analyzed, too.
